Everybody has a gift!!! We all have hidden talents!!! It is just a matter of listening to our heart to unfold them.
Remy the protagonist rat in Disney/Pixar animation film Ratatouille had highly developed senses of taste and smell. After watching this animation film, my point of view related to rats has changed, I must confess. For many people it might sound disgusting though, I started admiring these little beings regardless the fact they live in the darkness of the sewers. As on any ecosystem they're provided with skills and intelligence. Mouse traps apart, I always admired Mickey Mouse and Jerry and we can't deny the importance of our dear “mouse” or “ratón” linked to our daily computers. Despite being a rat, Remy refused to eat garbage as his species always did. He loved to discover and create new flavors. For him each flavour was totally unique, but when two flavours were combined something completely new was created. Managing by some extraordinary alchemy, he could find unexplored possibilities while cooking. Remy experienced food as colour, music and shape.
He got lost and suddenly found himself in the sewers beneath Paris. When he went up and looked around, Remy felt completely astonished at that incredible beautiful city: “Paris? All this time I’ve been underneath Paris?” The City of Lights was there for him, for anybody no matter if you are a rat or human. And from that day on, he made his dream come true.
Remy was living in the sewers, nearby dustbins, hiding himself from great opportunities that were placed outside his boundaries. Despite being a resident of Paris, he never knew his city, life for him was always underneath it.
When he allowed himself to explore new frontiers, new experiences started to happen. He could identify unexplored possibilities.
Going beyond our boundaries, letting ourselves sometimes go to the middle of nowhere, get lost, can lead us to new routes, to unexpected alleys where you might turn right or left or just go up and suddenly you can see magic, a city of lights where you are placed to change your whole life and find your purpose. You never know, your chance might be just around the corner right there waiting for you. As Remy benefited greatly from his senses, exploring our senses definitely will tap our natural abilities.
Go beyond your borders. So much fun will meet you on the way. Magic will simply happen!!!
